Dear Patients and Supporters,

Welcome to our May newsletter. This issue is about Arthritis Awareness Month. It is a key time to come together. Together, we can push for better care, more support and easier access to treatment for people with arthritis.

What Arthritis Awareness Month Is About

Arthritis Awareness Month takes place every May. It shines a light on arthritis and the millions of lives it touches. It also shows why early diagnosis and treatment matter. Arthritis affects people of all ages. It can make daily life harder, from trouble moving to long-lasting pain. When more people understand it, people living with arthritis get more support.

Speaking Up for Better Care and Support

We invite everyone to speak up for better access to treatment and support. You can do this in many ways. For example, you can share facts about arthritis in your community. You can support arthritis groups and events. You can also contact lawmakers and ask for better arthritis care policies.

Our COO, Andre Smith, on Capitol Hill

We are proud of our Chief Operating Officer, Andre Smith. On May 7th, Andre went to Capitol Hill for the American College of Rheumatology’s Government Affairs Committee. There, he spoke up for Medicare patients and for key issues in arthritis care. His work reflects our mission at Bay Arthritis Institute.

Andre’s work shows why talking with lawmakers matters. It helps arthritis patients get the care and support they deserve. We are honored to have Andre on our team. He works hard to improve arthritis care across the country. Read more about advocating for rheumatology patients on Capitol Hill.

As the month goes on, let’s all work together. We can push for better results, access and support for arthritis patients. Together, we can make a difference.

Thank you for your support and for taking part in our community.

Warm regards,

Amir Agha, M.D., CEO, Founder
